In the early 1980s, the basketball shoe market was largely dominated by Adidas, thanks to exclusive contracts with legendary players like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar And Converse who almost had the market monopoly with its All Star Chuck Taylor and its emblematic muses such as Larry Bird And Magic Johnson. It was in 1985 that Nike, initially known for its models running such as the Waffle Trainer and the Cortez, decides to tackle the basketball parquets with the Nike Dunk Low And High. She calls on Peter Moore, footwear designer who will conceive the Nike Dunk. Seven Nike Dunk High are therefore presented in the pack Be True to your School. 14 years later in 1999, the Swoosh brand decided to bring out the pack by adding exclusive colors specific to certain areas through the globe. It was in 2001 that Nike Introduced the collection CO.JP, limited edition colors only available at Japan. A real frenzy of the Dunk Then moved to Sneakerheads around the world.

The most trendy colors of the Dunk High

The iconic basketball was exploded in 2020 thanks to the reissues of the colors OG on the version Dunk Low and the version Dunk High.
