Adidas Campus
The story of the sneakers Adidas Campus
Born in 1980, the Adidas Campus was originally designed as a reworked version of the basketball Adidas Tournament sneaker. However, it was not in the sports world that it gained its reputation, but rather on the hip-hop scene and in streetwear culture, which propelled it to the forefront. In fact, the pair was adopted by the group Beastie Boy, who made it their signature sneaker, even wearing it on the cover of their cult album “Check your head” in 1992. The Adidas Campus 00 features a supple suede upper and the iconic three leather stripes on the side, a simple and elegant design that has led to many colorways. The Adidas Campus is just as successful in the sneakers women’s range as in the sneakers men’s range, thanks to its comfort and design retro. Over the years, the pair has evolved to become a timeless classic.
The trendy Adidas Campus models
Making a strong comeback this year, the Adidas Campus 00 has already been the subject of numerous collaborations this year. Whether it’s with artists like singer Bad Bunny, designers like Jeremy Scott, or the streetwear brand Bape, this pair comes in every possible version. Also highly acclaimed in the skate scene, the Campus is firmly rooted in the Y2K trend and pairs perfectly with all 2000s looks and the most oversized pants. Whatever its colorway, this retro model is definitely on-trend and will make its mark in 2023. At Wethenew, we wonder what great collaborations the three-strips brand will bring us on this model.
Still very much in style, the Adidas Campus is also available at a great price in different color selections, ideal for all seasons, which you can find here: the Campus Black for a sleek and timeless look, or the Campus Rose, the Campus Green or even the Campus Blue for a colorful look. Perfect to add a touch of originality to all your outfits!
