CONVERSE RUN STAR HIKE: THE NEW CHUNKY-SOLED CONVERSE FOR WOMEN
Released in 2019, the Converse Run Star Hike quickly established itself as a must have. Inspired by the timeless Chuck Taylor 70, this new model comes from a collaboration between Converse and Irish designer JW Anderson. The Run Star Hike takes the lines of the emblematic Converse silhouette, with a few differences. The high-top upper is still there, but the sole is far chunkier. A notched outsole running the full length of the sole also appears, adding depth to the whole.
Now very on-trend, these sneakers were first produced in black and white, before being released in multiple colors ranging from beige to brown by way of floral prints. In the high or low.

Converse came back into fashion and regained its status as the pair of choice for young people in the early 2000s. Nike has relied on iconic collaborations to widen Converse's reach. After Ambush, Converse again looked to luxury for inspiration. The brand founded in 1908 called on the artistic director of Dior Homme, Kim Jones, to design a new model with vintageinfluences. Still in the spirit of the Chuck Taylor 70, the former Louis Vuitton stylist added a transparent TPU cage and a wave effect above the sole, giving the impression of a platform. But the brand does not look only to luxury: above all it is the culture of streetwear that keeps its sneaker fan base solid. Nike gave the American label Chinatown Market the chance to rework the classic Converse model, once again the All Star. The American brand transformed the model by adding a UV technology. CONVERSE COMME DES GARÇONS
Partners since 2009, Comme des Garçons and Converse have signed one of the most significant collaborations of the 2010s. Released in 2009, the pair imagined by the two houses shows a small red heart on its side panel. This timeless model was later reworked and became a genuine phenomenon from 2015.
A commercial success for several years now, the Chuck Taylor 70 x CDG carries the red heart with big eyes, a signature of the Japanese fashion label, sits just above the sole. Over time, several versions have appeared in the joint collection. The big red heart half cut off by the sole has at times given way to a line of smaller hearts following the sole.
