Perplex
PERPLEX, THE LOGO-FREE STREETWEAR FROM FRANKFURT
THREE STUDENTS, ONE RESALE PAGE, ONE BRAND IN 2021
The story begins on the wrong side of the counter. Before being a brand, Perplex is a resale page, robsdropss, where three fashion students from Frankfurt sell rare pieces of high-end streetwear. By watching prices go up, they identify a hole in the market: between unaffordable luxury houses and trendy labels of uncertain quality, no one makes thick, well-cut street clothing, without logos, at a price you can afford. They founded Perplex in 2021 to fill it. The name comes from perplexed — surprised, astonished —, the reaction they want to provoke.
Five years later, Jude Bellingham, Bronny James and Tyrese Haliburton wear it outside the match; rappers OG Keemo and Luciano adopted it in Germany. Without campaign, without collaboration: through clothing.
L'ARMOR HOODIE : 300 GRAMS PER LAYER, AND TWO LAYERS
The piece that makes the brand is a sweat with hood. TheArmor Hoodie is constructed of double-layer fabric, 300 g/m² per layer, in a 70% cotton, 30% polyester blend: a fleece twice as heavy as a classic hoodie , which holds its shape without sagging and gives that build of armor which earns it its name. Square cut, dropped shoulders, hidden side pockets, no visible branding. It exists in pullover and in a zipped version, the latter at 320 g/m².
The colors are the only fantasy, and they have a vocabulary: Stone, Mocca, Navy, Moss, Volcano, Black, Pink. Muted, mineral shades that blend together — the hoodie Armor in Mocca is the deepest reference in our selection.
TRACKPANTS: THE SET PERPLEX
The Trackpant is the counterpart of hoodie : same fleece, same palette, slightly tapered straight cut, elasticated waist. Worn with the Armor of the same color, it forms the tracksuit of the Daily Line, which the brand designs as a daily uniform rather than sportswear. Mismatched — Trackpant Stone under a black hoodie — it breaks l'uniforme. On the feet, a neutral sneaker: the absence of a logo calls for a pair that doesn't scream either.
In our department streetwear, Perplex compares to Essentials : same idea of the premium basic in shades neutral, but heavier, squarer, and born in Europe. His pieces can be found in our sweatshirts and hoodies and jogging.
