Bringing back the same team behind the small revolution that was the AJ3, Tinker Hatfield and Nike/Jordan came up in 1989 with the Air Jordan 4 model or Air Jordan IV. The pair was designed directly around the on-court needs of Michael Jordan. Indeed, at the peak of his career, the « G.O.A.T. » wanted to go even further. The aerodynamic design of the AJ4 and its construction are the result of « His Airness » performance needs. Flexibility, breathability, freedom of movement, and comfort are the key principles behind Hatfield's creative vision.
And the silhouette continues to be at the heart of sneakers trends, with the reissue of retro models such as the Air Jordan 4 Military Blue and the Air Jordan 4 Bred Reimagined, inspired by the colorways that made the Jordan 4 legendary.
A DURABLE SNEAKER WITH PREMIUM MATERIALS
The pair therefore features a nubuck leather upper combined with mesh, a first at the time! Plastic elements also support the ankle and heel to improve security and foot support. The Jumpman logo, introduced on the Jordan 3, is featured with the inscription « Flight » added to the design. At the top of his game, it was in his Jordan IV that the Bulls' number 23 would finish as the NBA's top scorer for the third consecutive year. The New York street artist once again brings his unmistakable touch by elevating this model. It features gray suede overlays, Kaws' signature XX on the heel, and a stunning translucent Glow in The Dark outsole to complete this gem. A reissue of this model is also scheduled for 2027, much to the delight of collectors and fans of sneakers! Finally, among the standout collaborations, today's most influential rapper Travis Scott gave us his "Astroworld" version a few years ago with an electric blue colorway. It features a translucent outsole and the addition of the famous cactus Jack logo on the heel, making this pair a heat of the past 10 years. More recently, the Jumpman brand has expanded its collaborative horizons: we discovered a new collab with J Balvin around a Air Jordan 4 Lemonade, as well as with the leading athlete on the BMX scene: Nigel Sylvester, who collaborated with Jordan on an AJ4 "Brick By brick"
