Nike University Blue
A UNIQUE AND ON-TREND COLORWAY
An iconic colourway of Nike and Jordan, the University Blue has become one of the most appreciated in recent months. That colorway was notably very much in vogue in 2021 through the releases of a Jordan 1 or a Jordan 4.
Used as much in the Air Jordan collection as in collaborations with other brands, the University Blue colourway pays tribute to the college career of Michael Jordan. Between 1981 and 1984, MJ23 wore the colours of the Tar Heels of the university of North Carolina, or North Carolina. On court, the players of the university therefore wore the sky blue and the white adopted today on many models.
Very light but with an assertive shade, this colourway will find its place perfectly alongside white pieces or pieces in the same shade, to build a colour harmony.
THE SNEAKERS OF THE UNIVERSITY BLUE RANGE
Brought to the fore by Nike and Jordan Brand, the University Blue colourway has been shown through the Air Jordan 1, whether Jordan 1 Mid, High or Low, but also the Jordan 3, the Jordan 4 or the Jordan 6. But that American colourway has not been reserved only for the pairs signed by the brand with the Jumpman. You also find it in the Nike catalogue, as on an Air Max Plus, but also several Nike Dunk. In that Nike Dunk UNC family you find the classic Nike Dunk Low, but also the Nike Dunk Low Disrupt and its deconstructed look.
Also used by New Balance on the 550, the UNC colorway has also been highlighted by one of the most emblematic models of the sneaker, the Air Force 1 Low. For a collaboration with Off-White, Nike unveiled a unique version of its icon carrying the sky blue colourway and branding typical of the brand created by Virgil Abloh. The late designer had also taken on the Air Jordan 1 High through his collection The Ten, but he had also made public an Air Rubber Dunk.
More recently, through a joint collection with Supreme, the brand with the Swoosh offered a University Blue version of one of its flagship models of the 90s, the Air Zoom Flight 95 SP.
