Alexander McQueen, nicknamed “the enfant terrible”, is a major figure of fashion and luxury. Immersed in haute couture from an early age, he began his career at 16 at Anderson & Sheppard, the main tailor to Prince Charles. At a show he caught the curious eye ofIsabella Blow, a well-known journalist at Vogue who advised him to launch his own brand. Between eccentric pieces and controversial collections, the “hooligan of fashion” was not afraid to impose his vision on the buttoned-up society of the day. Alexander McQueen's unconventional spirit did not please everyone. On the sneaker side, however, he notably worked with Puma on a men's footwear collection.
In 2019, nine years after the designer's death, Sarah Burton, a remarkable stylist, took the helm of the McQueen house. A new turn for the brand, which would adapt perfectly to contemporary urban culture.

THE REVIVAL, A CHALLENGE MCQUEEN MET
Far more than women's haute couture collections, the Alexander McQueen label is now rooted in popular culture.
