The Wethenew Concept: Who are we?
The Wethenew adventure begins in2018in Paris, with David and Michael, two sneaker enthusiasts. They quickly realized that no platform existed in France offering a quality buying experience — a platform dedicated to sneakers, where you could safely buy or sell a pair with guaranteed authenticity. That's how Wethenew was born in 2018, to meet the expectations of this new market and its fans.
In just a few years, the team has grown from 2 to more than 130 sneaker lovers, all driven by the desire to deliver the best possible experience in buying and reselling streetwear.
The Wethenew team is building ayoung,ambitiousproject, and since its inception has had its own identity and its own voice, with a guiding thread:Process & Progress, a motto that has been with the team from the very first days.

Most of the pairs offered by Wethenew go out of stock instantly when they release in stores and on traditional websites. They then resell on a secondary market at much higher prices because demand exceeds supply. To offer its products, Wethenew has built a network ofseveral tens of thousands of partner resellersacross Europe.

The Professional Equality Index
The Professional Equality Index is designed to promote equal pay between men and women. It evaluates gender pay gaps and identifies areas requiring improvement. Based on four criteria, this system generates a score out of 100.
The criteria assessed are:
- The pay gap between women and men by socio-professional category
- The gap in individual raise rates between women and men
- The percentage of female employees who received a raise upon returning from maternity leave
- The number of employees of the least represented gender among the ten highest earners
In 2023, at Wethenew, we are proud to achieve a score of 87/100 on our Professional Equality Index thanks to the following results:
- Pay gap: 29/40 (in favor of women).
- Pay raise rate gap: 35/35.
- Return from maternity leave: No cases during the assessed period.
- Employees of the least represented gender among the ten highest earners: 10/10.
